Kyler Murray’s Instagram scrubbing is a thing of the past.
The deletion of all but two posts set off the saga this offseason that eventually led to his agent offering, in a letter, that the Arizona Cardinals quarterback would like a contract extension.
On Tuesday morning, Murray’s Instagram account showed 371 posts, a sign his account had archived many of his posts.

Shortly after Arizona’s season came to a close, it was discovered that the signal caller had deleted all but two posts on his Instagram — a photo gallery of his Pro Bowl appearance on Sunday and a 2018 post about his Heisman Trophy win. It led to reports of dissatisfaction between the player and the team after the floundering 2021 finish, then an exchange of statements from the team and Murray.
“I play this game for the love of it, my teammates, everyone who has helped me get to this position that believed in me and to win championships,” Murray posted on Twitter and Instagram on Feb. 14.
Two weeks after clearing the air and following Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill’s attempts to quiet rumors, Murray’s agent Erik Burkhardt issued a statement putting pressure on the team to offer Murray an extension before his fourth NFL season.
Murray and his agent said they had “sent a detailed contract proposal to the organization” that aligns with the quarterback market, “lowers his 2022-23 salary cap number” and “most importantly represents a real commitment from the organization to see if their ultimate goals align with his.”
The team extended head coach Kliff Kingsbury and general manager Steve Keim through 2027. Both also downplayed any discord between them and Murray at the NFL Draft Combined last week.
And now it appears Murray’s Instagram is back, including many images of him competing for the Cardinals.
Might it be a sign things have settled?
