After scoring 18 total touchdowns in his first season in Arizona, Cardinals running back James Conner received some recognition from his peers in the league.

Conner cracked the NFL Top 100 list, voted on by the players, coming in at No. 80.

The running back had an impressive debut season in the Valley, eclipsing 1,000 total scrimmage yards with 752 yards rushing and 375 receiving.

Conner makes the Top 100 after being an omission in 2021. It’s the second time in his career he’s made the list, doing so in 2019 while still with the Pittsburgh Steelers, coming in at No. 62.

The first 49 spots of the NFL Top 100 are being revealed Sunday, with Conner being the first player at his position on the list among the first 20 selections.

With former running back Chase Edmonds leaving Arizona in free agency, Conner could be in store for another big year in the Cardinals’ back field.

He racked up 239 total touches in 2021 and could see that number jump as the Cardinals wait to see who will be the clear No. 2 option in the running back room.

As it stands, Conner is the first Arizona player to make the NFL Top 100, but could be joined by teammates Budda Baker and Kyler Murray down the line.

He’s the third player from the NFC West to be selected, joining San Francisco 49ers’ teammates Kyle Juszczyk (No. 100) and Jimmie Ward (No. 96.)
