Arizona Cardinals defensive end J.J. Watt this past week kept his two-year promise to the Plummer family of the United Kingdom, flying them out to Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Watt made the promise when young Archie Plummer made a replica of the Houston Texans’ NRG Stadium out of LEGOs in 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 33-year-old saw this replica, called it incredible and expressed the desire to bring Archie out to NRG Stadium once fans could attend games again.

However, 2020 was Watt’s final season with the Texans.

Then he was hurt in 2021, his first season with the Cardinals. This season, he flew the Plummer family to Arizona from their home in St. Helens.

As part of the itinerary, the Plummer family received a tour of State Farm Stadium, autographs and Archie played catch with Watt.

The Plummer family had a front-row seat to watch Watt, who had three tackles in 56 defensive snaps. However, it’s safe to say Watt’s performance was an afterthought to them.
