Tobias Rieder continues to make good things happen early in his first season with Arizona Coyotes.
The rookie scored two shorthanded goals in the span of :58 in a 5-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers Monday night.
It wasn’t an overall record for shortest time between two shorthanded goals, but it did set a new mark for rookies, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.
Per @EliasSports: @ArizonaCoyotes Tobias Rieder's two short-handed goals in 58 seconds are fastest two SHGs ever recorded by an NHL rookie.

Making the accomplishment even sweeter is the fact that Rieder was a draft pick of the Oilers back in 2011 and was traded to the Coyotes in March of 2013.
