Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal was listed as questionable with a right elbow sprain for Saturday night’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers at Footprint Center.
Josh Okogie was taken off the injury report after a hamstring strain delayed his start to the 2024-25 season for the first five games.
Beal has had a questionable designation for the last three games, and while he missed the first and third games of that stretch, he scored 15 points in 35 minutes during the second, a 109-105 win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
He has arguably been Phoenix’s best player when healthy, shooting 7 of 12 from 3 with 10 assists to four turnovers and strong defensive play over the first two games of the season.
Rookie Ryan Dunn started in Beal’s place both games he missed and continued the remarkable start to his NBA career. He shot 7 of 15 from 3 in the two games en route to his first two double-digit scoring outputs with 13 and 16 points, respectively.
Okogie is entering his third season with Phoenix. He played in 132 games over the last two years and brings more of a defensive element to the Suns’ backcourt depth.
Portland will be without wings Shaedon Sharpe (labral tear) and Mattise Thybulle (knee injury maintenance), as well as big man Robert Williams III (hamstring strain).
The Blazers are coming off the first end of a back-to-back on Friday, a 137-114 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
