The Territorial Cup between the Arizona State Sun Devils and Arizona Wildcats in Tucson will kick off at 1:30 p.m. MST on Saturday, Nov. 30.

The Sun Devils (9-2) will enter the rivalry matchup on a four-game winning streak with their last two victories coming over ranked opponents.

After Arizona State’s 28-23 win over BYU on Saturday, the Sun Devils are a win away from securing a berth in the Big 12 Championship Game (with the exception of one specific tiebreaker scenario).

The Wildcats (4-7) on the other hand have lost six of their past seven games and are coming off a 49-28 loss at TCU on Saturday, which eliminated Arizona from bowl contention.

Arizona owns a 51-46 all-time edge over Arizona State and has won the previous two meetings, including a 59-23 road victory last year. The Wildcats have not won three straight Territorial Cups since 1993-1995. Before the past two Wildcat victories, the Sun Devils won five straight from 2017-2021.

“If we have to get excited to play our rival who whopped our butt last year then we’re not the team I think we are,” Arizona State coach Kenny Dillingham said after Saturday’s win. “And then at the same token, I think they have what people say is the No. 1 wideout that’s going that’s going to be drafted. They have an NFL quarterback. They have a left tackle who’s mocked in the first round.

“Any team that has two first-round draft picks has the talent and the ability to win and make plays. But for us, process. This feels great. It’s even better that it’s a day game. Have fun, enjoy it. Wake up, move on, repeat the process because nobody cares what you did yesterday, and nobody is going to care if we turn out to be a 9-3 football team then miss the Big 12 championship.”

The Sun Devils will travel to Tucson for the Territorial Cup against Arizona on Nov. 30 at 1:30 p.m. Watch the TV broadcast on FOX and listen live on 98.7 FM.

Editor’s note: This story originally said ASU would make the Big 12 Championship game with a win over Arizona. That remains the case except for one of 256 outcomes from the final week of regular season play. Read more on tiebreakers here.
