Quarterback Sam Leavitt and wide receiver Jordyn Tyson continued to be on the same page. Tyson caught eight passes for 143 yards and a touchdown before exiting the game in the second half with an injury.
Leavitt finished his day 17 for 22 with 291 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. With the game out of hand, he was replaced by former starter and sixth-year senior Trenton Bourguet.
Bourguet, a Tucson native, was 2 for 3 through the air with 71 yards and a touchdown. One of his two completions was caught by his brother, Sun Devil receiver Coben Bourguet.
The Big 12 Championship goes down Saturday, Dec. 7 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
