With the Phoenix Suns’ lead down to eight (94-86) in the fourth quarter on Saturday, Kevin Durant took matters into his own hands. Literally.
Durant matched up with the Golden State Warriors’ Lindy Waters III out on the perimeter and blocked an attempted 3-pointer so cleanly, he practically grabbed it out of the air.

The ball firmly in hand, Durant advanced it to Devin Booker before he found a cutting Monte Morris. With 7:37 on the clock, Morris crossed up a cluster of Golden State defenders to complete the fastbreak play.
After a Warrior timeout, the Suns scored seven unanswered points to push their lead to 17.
For Durant, the block was his third and it made Phoenix’s team tally 10 for the night. Mason Plumlee, Oso Ighodaro and Ryan Dunn all had two of their own.
The Warriors tightened things up a bit, but the Suns knocked down free throws late to hold on for a 113-105 win.
Durant has now recorded three-plus blocks in back-to-back games (also three in a 127-117 loss to the Nets on Wednesday). He is up to 19 this season, including five multi-block games.
