Ole Miss’ powder blue will be main color in Fiesta Bowl uniform matchup with Miami

Ole Miss will provide most of the color in Thursday’s Fiesta Bowl at State Farm Stadium with Miami opting for all-white uniforms.

The Rebels are going with powder blue helmets and jerseys with white pants, a combo they went with in three of their 13 wins this season.

Ole Miss had its specialists — including likely NFL Draft pick at kicker, Lucas Carneiro — model the look.

Miami’s white-on-white-on-white look includes color only in the shoulder and helmet striping, with the Hurricanes’ trademark orange and green combo.

Miami will ride with the same combo that saw it beat Texas A&M and Ohio State in the earlier rounds of the College Football Playoff.

Many Hurricanes fans are reminded of stormtroopers by the look.
