Arizona Cardinals’ Tyrann Mathieu tweets video of him running

It is said you must crawl before you walk, and Mathieu must take steps like this in order to get back on the field.

Tyrann Mathieu tore his ACL on Dec. 20, 2015.

On March 2, 2016, he took a significant step forward in his rehab.

For the 23-year-old, it appears to be the first time he’s done any running since the injury. He’s wearing a brace on the knee, which is understandable, and also seems to have his weight supported while he runs.

At any rate, it is said you must crawl before you walk, and for a player like Mathieu, who is recovering from a devastating knee injury, he must take steps like this in order to get back on the field.

And as his tweet notes, this was just Day 1.
