Arizona Wildcats represented in Pac-12 honors

The Arizona Wildcats did not have quite the success this season as they had the past couple of years, but that does not mean they did not have a good season.

Arizona finished its slate 12-6 in the Pac-12 and 24-7 overall, and on Monday saw a handful of its players named some of the Pac-12’s end-of-season awards list.

Forward Ryan Anderson, a senior, was named to the All-Pac-12 Team after leading the Wildcats with 15.8 points and 10.2 rebounds per game.

Senior center Kaleb Tarczewski was named to the conference’s Second-Team as well as the Pac-12 All-Defensive Team after averaging 9.6 points and a career-best 9.1 rebounds per game.

Fellow senior Gabe York, a guard, was named to the conference’s Second-team after chipping in a career-high 15 points per game while making 43 percent of his 3-point attempts.

Guard Allonzo Trier was named to the Pac-12 Freshman Team after averaging 14.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. The first-year player appeared in 24 games, and shot .467 from the field and .347 from 3-point range.
