Phoenix Mercury’s 2026 schedule revealed

The WNBA announced the 2026 schedule on Wednesday for the Phoenix Mercury, which enters the 30th season in franchise history.

Last season, second-year head coach Nate Tibbetts led the Mercury to a 27-17 record and a No. 4 seed in the playoffs before making it all the way to the WNBA Finals, where the team was swept by the Las Vegas Aces and reigning MVP A’ja Wilson.

The Mercury will open the season with a rematch against the Aces in Las Vegas on May 9. The two teams will meet each other three other times during the season; once on the road on July 11 and twice at Mortgage Matchup Center on June 17 and Sept. 24.

Speaking of rematches, the Mercury will go up against the New York Liberty, whom it defeated in a best-of-three first-round series, in New York on May 27 and 29 before facing off at home on Aug. 1 in the team’s first game after the All-Star break. Phoenix also hosts the Minnesota Lynx, the previous No. 1 seed and semifinals opponent, on May 12 and June 1, and will travel to Minnesota for a contest on July 13.

Phoenix is set to compete for the Commissioner’s Cup from June 1 through 17 in three home games (Minnesota, Los Angeles, Las Vegas) and four away games (Seattle, Portland, Golden State, Dallas).

The 2026 season also marks the debut of the Mercury’s new uniforms following the organization’s rebrand in late November 2025.
