Mercury G Kia Nurse ruled out for rest of WNBA Semifinals Game 4

Phoenix Mercury wing Kia Nurse injured her leg during the opening minute of Wednesday's pivotal Game 4 against the Las Vegas Aces.

The Phoenix Mercury ruled out guard Kia Nurse with a knee injury following a collision in the first quarter of Wednesday’s WNBA Semifinals Game 4.

She had to be helped off of the floor after holding her right leg less than a minute past the opening tip against the Las Vegas Aces in Phoenix.

The Mercury’s depth was already lighter without Sophie Cunningham, who was ruled out prior to the matchup with a calf injury.

Nurse started every game during the regular season for Phoenix this year, her first with the team after three seasons on the New York Liberty.

She averaged 9.5 points per game while shooting 36% from beyond the arc.

Fortunately for Phoenix, guard Shey Peddy came off of the bench on fire hitting her first three shots, two from deep.

With a win, the Mercury would head to the WNBA Finals for the first time since winning it all in 2014.

The Chicago Sky already punched their ticket earlier on Wednesday.

The Mercury trail Las Vegas 49-46 at halftime.
