Arizona Cardinals’ Carson Palmer: ‘I wish I had a concrete answer’

TEMPE, Ariz. — One of the most difficult parts for Carson Palmer when dealing with the nerve injury in his right shoulder that kept him out of last Sunday’s game against the New York Giants is that there is no real timetable for a recovery.
“It’s extremely frustrating,” Palmer said Wednesday. “I wish I had a concrete answer or somebody knew exactly what to do to wake it up. It’s not known. It’s just time — the only answer is time.
“I’m hoping it doesn’t take any more time.”
Palmer said he has been making progress every day since the injury, and for now the only thing he can do is continue with his rehab while following instructions given by the doctors and specialists.
During the open part of the team’s practice Wednesday, Palmer could be seen participating with his fellow quarterbacks doing footwork drills. However, while Drew Stanton and Logan Thomas finished each rep by throwing the ball, Palmer did not.
And that’s just it — he’s unable to throw the ball, at least at a level that is required for an NFL quarterback.
“I’ve been throwing a little bit, trying to a little bit, and I’m just going to continue that every day,” Palmer said.
