The Arizona Cardinals will be bringing back some familiar faces to the coaching staff.

According to 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s Mike Jurecki, at least five names will join new head coach Steve Wilks’ staff from Bruce Arians’ last season.

Those names returning are Larry Foote, Kevin Garver, Steve Heiden, Buddy Morris and Byron Leftwich.

At this time, Jurecki reports it is unknown if they will be returning at their former positions.

Under Arians last season, Foote was with the inside linebackers, Garver was an assistant wide receivers coach, Heiden was an assistant with the tight ends and special teams, Morris was the strength and conditioning coach and Leftwich was with the quarterbacks.

Leftwich was in his first year with the Cardinals and Foote was in his third. Morris has four years of experience coaching in Arizona while both Garver and Heiden have spent five seasons on the staff.

Of Arians’ staff that is expected not to return, assistant head coach Tom Moore, pass rush specialist Tom Pratt, wide receivers coach Darryl Drake and assistant offensive line coach Larry Zierlein each individually have decades of coaching experience.

Former special teams coordinator Amos Jones (Browns), defensive coordinator James Bettcher (Giants) and running backs coach Freddie Kitchens (Browns) moved on to other teams.

Wilks has already brought in Mike McCoy as his offensive coordinator, Al Holcomb as his defensive coordinator and Jeff Rodgers as the special teams coordinator.

The team is also expected to bring in Kirby Wilson to coach the running backs and David Merritt to run the secondary.
