Suns’ Deandre Ayton, Richaun Holmes injured in loss vs Hornets

The Phoenix Suns announced that two of their big men would not return to Saturday’s road game against the Charlotte Hornets.
Rookie Deandre Ayton left the game with a left ankle sprain and fourth year forward Richaun Holmes left with a left foot sprain. The severity of both injuries is not yet determined.
Ayton played 22 minutes and finished with 10 points and two rebounds. Holmes finished with four points and four rebounds in 14 minutes.
Charlotte out rebounded the Suns by 27 in a 135-115 Suns loss.
Devin Booker lead the team scoring 32 points and 11 assists in 38 minutes played.
Phoenix has now lost to the Hornets twice in the last seven games following the defeat.
The team will travel to Minnesota to play the Timberwolves in less than 24 hours.
Ayton is the fourth-leading player in minutes played per game with 31 in 46 games played and Holmes has 16 minutes in 44 games played this season.
