The Arizona Diamondbacks are taking on the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday night amidst a jam-packed NL Wild Card race.
But the date of Saturday night’s matchup has interstellar significance.
July 20, 2019 is 50 years to the day of the Apollo 11 moon landing that uttered Neil Armstrong’s famous “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”
In honor of the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, D-backs’ Nick Ahmed, Adam Jones and Archie Bradley are rocking Apollo 11-themed cleats that were designed by a local artist.
