The Arizona Diamondbacks game on Tuesday night against the Washington Nationals featured a 30-minute rain delay prior to the start of their game.
What was different about this rain delay from other rain delays was that it never actually rained.
In fact, the Nationals grounds crew decided to water down the dirt, probably just in case the “rain” didn’t do its job.

The “rain” delay was as flustering to D-backs closer Brad Ziegler as it was to everybody else waiting for this apparent downfall to happen.

The good news to come out of this “natural disaster” is that baseball will be played tonight.
