The Phoenix Suns may be looking to shed half of their dual point guard lineup.

According to Sporting News NBA writer Sean Deveney, the Suns have had conversations with the New York Knicks about swapping Eric Bledsoe and the 13th pick in the NBA Draft for the fourth selection.

However, according to Deveney that is not the only avenue to the Suns are pursuing when it comes to moving Bledsoe.

The Suns have been dangling Bledsoe in trade offers this offseason and are likely to continue to do so after the draft if Bledsoe is not moved this week, sources confirmed.

Trading Bledsoe would be a big move for the Suns, who last summer signed him to a five-year, $70 million contract. Acquired before the 2013-14 campaign, he has averaged 17.3 points, 5.9 assists and 5.0 rebounds in 124 games over the course of the last two seasons.

In that time, the 25-year-old has shown the very potential that has many excited about his future. However, the team’s acquisition of Brandon Knight at the 2015 trade deadline may make the 6-foot-1, 190-pound Bledsoe expendable.

Knight, a restricted free agent, was limited to just 11 games with the Suns due to an ankle injury. He averaged 13.4 points, 4.5 assists and 2.1 rebounds in those contests, but the team has not been shy about praising his attitude and leadership potential going forward.

The NBA Draft is set for Thursday, and assuming they stay at pick No. 13, most mock drafts have them taking Wisconsin’s Frank Kaminsky.
