Patrick Peterson’s NFC team defeats T.Y. Hilton-led rally in NFL dodgeball

Jan 26, 2017, 6:51 PM

The NFL skills challenge was an odd but entertaining enough set of events.

Between Dallas QB Dak Prescott showing off that he could use a little more arm-strength to finish last in the quarterback challenge to Philip Rivers gun-slinging his way to a victory, there was indeed football skill involved.

But the best part was no doubt the AFC vs. NFC dodgeball game, where Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson strapped himself with a GoPro on his head to give fans a sense of the live action. Peterson’s NFC team came out victorious as the AFC put together a disappointing performance that was only salvaged by a fantastic one-man rally attempt by Colts receiver T.Y. Hilton.

Here is Andy Dalton being bad at dodgeball.

And here is Alex Smith failing to covert a dodgeball throw more than five yards.

After Hilton caught a number of balls to cut into the NFC numbers advantage, the game was ended with Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott coming up in the clutch.

As for Peterson, the Arizona Pro Bowler also appeared in the drone drop challenge, in which players needed to adjust to a drone hovering from 85 feet above the ground and, in the second round, 125 feet. Peterson completed the first and fell flat in the second.

Also, we dig the sun glasses under the helmet look.
