A Coyotes fan, Devon Cordova believed he was going on a tour of Gila River Arena.
He got that, along with plenty more.
According to Devon’s mother Lisa, her son has mild autism, and is intellectually impaired. In school, a teacher of his was a big hockey fan, and would invite Devon to some games. He developed a love for the Coyotes because of it, and it helped bring him out of his shell.
So on March 30, when Devon went to get a look at his favorite team’s home arena, he ended up getting a jersey, meeting players and also, perhaps most awesomely, being part of the team photo.

For years, Devon has held on to a photo of him and his hero Shane Doan.
