“Everybody one clap!”

Arizona Diamondbacks starter Patrick Corbin deserves more than a few claps for his outstanding bounce-back performance Wednesday. In any event, his teammates figuratively clapped for him in the clubhouse after the game.

The Diamondbacks southpaw was voted player of the game by his teammates and got to wear a Randy Moss jersey, which is apparently a team tradition based on the song “One Clap” by DJ Steve Porter.

The song featured then-Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Randy Moss and was on ESPN’s Monday Night Football pregame show, Monday Night Countdown for some time.

“I don’t know who got it, but it’s been something we’ve been doing,” Corbin told Doug and Wolf on 98.7 FM, Arizona’s Sports Station. “We win a game, player of the game is going to have it on.”

As far as who in the clubhouse is in charge of it, Corbin is not completely sure.

“Maybe Archie (Bradley),” Corbin said. “I know A.J. (Pollock) actually likes the song. He’s a Patriots fan, there is a couple of Patriot’s fans when Moss played for them, and I think he’s in that video with them. I don’t know who got the jersey. It was kind of hanging up yesterday, and we are going to start doing it I guess.

“I wish they had it a game or two before, so I didn’t have to explain it.”
