Grant Hill wins Majerle Hustle Award

Apr 14, 2011, 2:32 AM | Updated: 3:33 am

Suns forward Grant Hill was awarded with the Dan Majerle Hustle Award Wednesday night before the Suns-Spurs game at US Airways Center.

Hill becomes the first two-time recipient of the award after winning it in 2008.

The award is named after former Suns great Dan Majerle and is presented at the end of each season after input from Suns fans, players, coaches, employees and Majerle himself.

“As a player and now a coach, Dan Majerle exemplifies the work ethic that is required to be a leader, on and off, the basketball court,” Suns President of Basketball Operations Lon Babby said.

“It is that same commitment that is at the heart of this award.”

A $9,000 donation will also be made to the charity of Hill’s choice.
