PHOENIX SUNS

Nash doesn’t anticipate changing addresses

There are certain stories in Phoenix that just won’t go
away.

Immigration controversy, the plight of the Phoenix Coyotes
and rumors surrounding the future of Suns’ point guard
Steve Nash have been prevalent for years.

With the Suns heading into the 2011-12 season without
lofty expectations, the rumors about trading Nash aren’t
going anywhere, especially when you consider that the two-
time MVP is entering the last season of his contract and
could leave the Valley as a free agent next summer.

Nash was a guest of Karie and Chuck on News-Talk 92.3 KTAR
on Tuesday, and co-host Chuck Powell asked him an
interesting question about his future.

“Will you be celebrating 2012’s Christmas in Arizona,”
Powell asked.

“I would imagine so, I haven’t thought about being
anywhere else,” Nash replied. “I would hate to say ‘yes’,
and then I get traded, but I feel like I’ll be here.”

Again with Nash entering the final year of his contract,
that would indicate that the veteran point guard
anticipates signing a new deal with the Suns. Nash will
turn 38-years-old in early February.
