Arizona Diamondbacks right-handed starter Shelby Miller made his latest rehab start Monday on the way back from Tommy John surgery in Double-A with the Jackson Generals.

Miller pitched 4.2 innings, allowing one earned run and four hits. He struck out six while walking four on 79 pitches.

Monday’s outing was Miller’s second rehab start. He had previously pitched for Class A Advanced Visalia on May 29, throwing five scoreless innings.

D-backs manager Torey Lovullo said Sunday the team hasn’t fully looked into their plan when Miller and Robbie Ray are ready to rejoin the active roster.

“We know it’s inevitable, we know it’s happening. We know that Robbie is going to get healthy, we know that Shelby is going to be turning the corner and progressing through this part of his rehab, so those discussions are coming,” Lovullo said.

“I’ve kind of laid neutral in all of this because I’m trying to take care of today but I know that other people are watching from a different lens and those discussions are going to be happening. So they aren’t ongoing yet but they will be soon.”
