Phoenix Suns guards Devin Booker and Isaiah Canaan will not play on Wednesday night against the Spurs, the team announced.

Elie Okobo will start, 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s John Gambadoro tweeted.

Booker has been nursing a hamstring injury that he first suffered a week ago in a home loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. He has already missed two games since then, one against the Memphis Grizzlies and one against the Oklahoma City Thunder, both losses. He was averaging 27.8 points per game before the injury.

Isaiah Canaan, meanwhile, is dealing with a left ankle strain.

Okobo will get the opportunity to start after he was drafted by the Phoenix Suns with the 31st overall pick this offseason. The 21-year-old from Bordeaux, France has appeared in four games so far, averaging 8.0 points and 2.5 assists with 15 minutes played per game.

Phoenix, at 1-5, still has not won since its opening night victory over the Dallas Mavericks at Talking Stick Resort Arena. They look to change that with the Wednesday night contest against San Antonio, a team who enters the matchup with a record of 4-2.
