Larry Fitzgerald reached a new milestone on Sunday against the Detroit Lions.
The Cardinals’ receiver became the NFL’s all-time leader in receptions with one team following his 14-yard reception in the third quarter.
It was Fitzgerald’s 1,282nd reception with the team, passing Hall of Famer Jerry Rice.
Entering the Lions’ game, Fitzgerald had 1,281 career receptions and 47 receptions for 508 yards and five touchdowns this season.
It wasn’t Fitzgerald’s first receiving milestone this season.
He passed Hall of Famer Terrell Owens for No. 2 on the all-time receiving yards list on Nov. 11 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Fitzgerald still needs about 6,000 yards to pass Rice (22,895 receiving yards) for the lead in that category.
