Phoenix Suns fall to Sacramento in 1st loss of 2019 preseason

De’Aaron Fox scored 18 points to lead Sacramento over the Suns on Thursday night in Phoenix’s second preseason game of the 2019-20 schedule.

The matchup featured Marvin Bagley III and Deandre Ayton, the top two picks of the 2018 draft.

Bagley, last year’s No. 2 overall pick, had 12 points and 13 rebounds for the Kings (1-2). Buddy Hield and Yogi Ferrell each added 14 points.

Devin Booker led the Suns (1-1) with 18 points and seven rebounds to go along with three assists. He played 23 minutes.

Ayton had 10 points with three rebounds.

Dario Saric, whom the Suns acquired from the Minnesota Timberwolves this offseason, scored nine points and added six rebounds.
