Arizona Cardinals linebacker Devon Kennard quoted Nipsey Hussle’s Face the World in his most recent tweet.
“Victory to me is when you get your moms right!” he said.
Kennard did just that.
In the tweet, Kennard posted a picture with his mother and the car he purchased for her, saying she had been driving her previous car since he was a child.

My mom is the backbone of our family, this the least I could do! She’s been driving the same car since I was 10 years old. I had to change that! pic.twitter.com/tA82aEOKBz

Kennard is now 29. That means his mother had her old car for almost 20 years.
“My mom is the backbone of our family, this the least I could do!” he said in the tweet.
The Arizona Cardinals last offseason signed Kennard to a three-year, $20 million contract. It’s his third NFL contract and the largest annual salary he has received in his career.
He is putting it to good use. His mother can now drive around in style in an upgraded car.
Kennard has played in seven of the Cardinals’ 10 games this season, missing Weeks 4 and 5 due to a calf injury and Week 9 when he was on the COVID-19 reserve. He has 10 tackles and two sacks in 263 snaps, which is 37% of available defensive snaps.
