Phoenix Suns bigs Dario Saric and Damian Jones are out due to the NBA’s health and safety protocols, the team announced on Sunday.

Additionally, guard Cameron Payne (right ankle sprain) has been listed as questionable and forward Jalen Smith remains out due to the league’s health and safety protocols.

As a result, that leaves the Suns with only two available bigs — Deandre Ayton and Frank Kaminsky — after traveling from Phoenix to Memphis for Monday’s game against the Grizzlies.

However, the new additions are just the latest of a hectic Sunday for both the NBA and the Suns.

Less than 90 minutes prior to tip-off, the Philadelphia 76ers-Oklahoma City Thunder game was postponed because the Sixers weren’t able to suit up the league’s minimum of eight players due to contact tracing, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Philadelphia played the Grizzlies in Memphis on Saturday.

Wojnarowski also reported that Grizzlies center Jonas Valanciunas has entered the league’s health and safety protocol and is listed as “out” against the Suns on Monday.

As of Thursday afternoon, Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro had reported that no Suns players had tested positive for coronavirus.
