Bruce Arians just became the oldest head coach to win a Super Bowl in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ commanding 31-9 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

The former Arizona Cardinals coach was showered in blue Gatorade by his players to celebrate the win.

“This really belongs to our coaching staff and our players,” the 68-year-old said while hoisting the Lombardi Trophy. “This is your trophy. I didn’t do a damn thing. You guys won this game. You came together as a band of brothers and you made it happen.”

Arians served as the Cardinals head coach for five years from 2013-17. He is the winningest coach in Cardinals history, holding a 49-30-1 record in the regular season.

Reports circulated Sunday that Arians will retire and hand head coaching duties off to defensive coordinator Todd Bowles. Arians has retired twice before, most recently in 2017, after leaving the Cardinals.

But postgame, Arians said he’s not leaving yet and wants to add another Super Bowl win to his head coaching career.

Another Arizona standout, former Wildcat Rob Gronkowski, secured his fourth Super Bowl ring in the win. The tight end finished with six catches for 67 yards and two touchdowns.

In the 22 games Gronk played as a Wildcat, he tallied 75 receptions for 1,197 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns.

He holds the Wildcats’ single-season record for receptions by a tight end (47) and career receptions for a tight end (75).
