You couldn’t have scripted a senior night any better.
In Arizona State’s second-to-last home game of the season, senior point guard Remy Martin ended Saturday night’s 77-74 OT win over Washington State with an exclamation point.
With 10 seconds left in overtime and the game tied 74-74, head coach Bobby Hurley put the game in Martin’s hands.

Coincidentally, Martin was just 1-for-11 from deep in regulation before sinking both of the threes he took in overtime.
He finished as the game’s leading scorer with 23 points, the eighth consecutive time the ASU senior has scored at last 20 points.
“I think senior day for us is a fitting end for how that game ended,” Hurley said via Zoom.
“And what Remy did and what he’s been doing here for years. He’s hit so many big shots in his career at Arizona State. Another big one on senior day, his family traveled in — the school really did a great job in a pandemic to try and make this as good for the seniors as possible.”
Other Sun Devils in double-figures for scoring were Kimani Lawrence (14), Jaelen House (10) and Jalen Graham (11), who also had 12 rebounds and four blocks on the night.
ASU was once again shorthanded, as the freshmen duo of Josh Christopher (back) and Marcus Bagley (ankle) remained out.
Arizona State (10-11; 7-8 Pac-12) will close out the last of four straight home games against the Washington schools on Monday, once again against Washington State (14-12; 7-12 Pac-12).
