Game recognizes game.

Following Phoenix’s 113-100 series-clinching win in Game 6 on Thursday night, Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James and Suns guard Devin Booker paid each other respect.

The defending champion and Booker met in the halls of the Staples Center, where James gave the Suns guard his No. 23 jersey.

The Lakers forward signed it “continue to be great.”

Great is exactly what Booker was on Thursday night as the Suns eliminated James in the first round for the first time in his career.

The Suns guard scored a whopping 47 points to go along with 11 rebounds and three assists.

Booker was 15-of-22 from the floor (68.2%) and set a career-high for threes in a game with eight, six of which came in the first quarter.

He finished the night 8-for-10 from deep and a perfect 9-of-9 from the charity stripe in 46 minutes played.

After the game, Booker tweeted the famous phrase of his idol — the late Kobe Bryant — that he has tattooed on his arm.

Phoenix now advances to the Western Conference semifinals, where the Suns will host the Denver Nuggets in Game 1 on Monday.

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. Catch all the action on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station.
