Entering his third year in the NFL, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is regarded as one of the league’s top 100 players heading into the 2021 season, coming in at No. 39 in the NFL Network’s list that is voted on by fellow players across the league.

Murray made a significant jump from his ranking prior to the 2020 season, where he was No. 90.

Making the top 100 list for a second consecutive year, Murray has earned the respect of others in the NFL after winning AP Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2019 and then following that up with an even more productive 2020 season.

Last year, he was a true dual-threat under center, agonizing defenses with his arm and his legs. Murray threw for 3,971 yards and 26 touchdowns, while adding over 800 yards and 11 scores on the ground.

Now with the 2021 regular season just three weeks away, expectations are high for the Cardinals’ offense that will be led by Murray. The organization made moves to help out around him, adding players like A.J. Green, Rondale Moore and James Connor to the skill position’s group, as well as getting him a new center, Rodney Hudson.

However, it’s no secret that Kliff Kingsbury’s offense starts and stops with Murray.

Murray joins J.J. Watt (No. 66) as the only other Cardinals on the list, however spots No. 40-11 are still being revealed. The top 10 will be released on Aug. 28.
