Cardinals’ J.J. Watt pays for funeral costs of Waukesha parade victims

Arizona Cardinals pass rusher J.J. Watt paid honor to the people of the Waukesha parade tragedy in Wisconsin by covering the funeral costs for all six victims.

Watt was a resident of Waukesha and attended high school and college in the state of Wisconsin.

Police said the suspect fled a domestic incident before heading into the parade’s traffic, killing six and injuring an additional 62 people, according to reports.

The driver was charged with five counts of first-degree intentional homicide that would include a mandatory life sentence if found guilty, according to reports.

The 2017 Walter Payton Man of the Year in the NFL is not a stranger to giving back to his communities. After Hurricane Harvey in 2017, the then-Houston Texan started a relief fund for the Houston area that raised 239 million meals, physical and mental health services to 8,900 people and repaired and rebuilt over 1,000 homes among many other services.
