Devin Booker emphatically wraps up Suns’ win over Timberwolves

Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker knows how to end games and he knows how to do it emphatically.

Enter Wednesday night in Minnesota with the Suns up one and under six minutes to go.

Booker assisted a Deandre Ayton dunk and then scored on a physical layup before pulling straight up from 30 feet away off an inbound pass from the baseline to knock down a deep 3.

Then, in what is probably the best play of the bunch, Booker saw an open Mikal Bridges under the basket but had no real passing angle from where he was at over 25 feet away. So, Booker created a passing angle of his own by throwing the ball off the backboard to Bridges.

The stat sheet did not rule it as an assist, unfortunately.

After a 3-pointer for each side, Booker scooped up a loose ball off a Timberwolves turnover and dunked with authority right by his pal D’Angelo Russell.

The Suns were up 11 at that point with under 2:30 to go and the game was a wrap, a 125-116 final.

Booker finished with 28 points and seven assists. He reached 11,000 career points in the game, becoming the fourth-youngest player in NBA history to reach that mark.

Deandre Ayton scored a career-high 35 points as well.
