Former Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Andy Isabella cleared waivers on Wednesday and will be joining the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

The release of Isabella on Tuesday came as the team designated receiver Antoine Wesley (hip/groin) to return from the injured reserve on Monday.

Isabella was selected 62nd overall in the 2019 NFL Draft after the team led it off by taking quarterback Kyler Murray. Isabella was taken with a second-round pick Arizona acquired in trading quarterback Josh Rosen.

Isabella struggled to develop, recording just 33 catches for 447 yards and three touchdowns in his three-plus seasons with the Cardinals.

Active for only eight games last year, Isabella saw just 5% of the available offensive snaps (30). He finished the season with one catch for 13 yards.

The Ravens don’t have much depth at wide receiver, where top option Rashod Bateman is currently dealing with a foot injury that kept him out of practice on Wednesday. Bateman’s 247 receiving yards lead all Baltimore wideouts, while Devin Duvernay’s 12 receptions top Bateman’s 11. That duo, plus tight end Mark Andrews’ 24 catches for 260 yards, are the only three Ravens pass catchers that have double-digit receptions through four games.

Baltimore, of course, traded wide receiver Hollywood Brown to the Arizona Cardinals in exchange for a first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
