Cardinals place P.J. Mustipher on IR, sign Brodric Martin

The Arizona Cardinals placed defensive lineman P.J. Mustipher on injured reserve and signed fellow defensive lineman Brodric Martin Saturday, the team announced.

Mustipher played in 15 games for the Cardinals last season on a reserve/future contract, in which he registered 32 tackles, a pass defended and a tackle for loss.

He signed a one-year tender with Arizona this offseason on a one-year deal worth just over $1 million.

Now Mustipher will miss the entire 2026 season as he recovers from injury, unless there is an injury settlement.

Mustipher joins Kaleb Proctor and Kaden Davis among Cardinals players on the IR before the season begins.

Martin was a third-round pick by the Detroit Lions in 2023 but hasn’t seen much playing time in his three years in the NFL.

The 27-year-old has played in six career games, in which he collected four tackles. Martin has been rostered by the Lions, Pittsburgh Steelers and Las Vegas Raiders, and will now get a chance to compete for a depth spot along the Cardinals’ defensive line.
