Arizona Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur told reporters Sunday that defensive lineman Walter Nolen III is doing “good” after limping at practice Friday.
“Walt’s good,” LaFleur said. “Sometimes, you name the player, when they’ve had a serious injury like they did … there’s a process, both mentally and physically, getting through that.
“So, he’s good, which is obviously a good thing for, most importantly, him but the Cardinals as well.”
Nolen was seen limping on the sideline during the Cardinals’ Friday session of training camp, which raised worry regarding his health.

The 2025 first-round pick missed the first eight weeks of his rookie year with a calf strain and then tore his meniscus in Week 16, which ended his season.
Nolen told reporters he’s not concerned about needing to slow down at all. Instead, he’s trusting in his work.
“I’m great. It was just a little hiccup,” Nolen said. “We got a long season ahead, so just doing what’s best for me. I’m faithful in the work that I put in. I’m faithful in the Lord, and I feel like everything good.”
The 6-foot-4 defensive lineman said he feels “more explosive” than before. During the offseason, Nolen cut out a lot of unnecessary junk food and lost about 10 pounds.
“I’m feeling great going into the season,” Nolen added.
The Cardinals’ breakout candidate said his sole focus this season is staying healthy to help the team in the best way possible.

I'd be happy if Nolen played 6 games this year. Doesn't seem like this guy can stay on the field.
