Larry Fitzgerald going into Ring of Honor, will see his jersey retired at halftime of Cardinals-Broncos

Mark those calendars, Arizona Cardinals fans. The celebration of Pro Football Hall of Famer Larry Fitzgerald Jr.’s career continues this regular season.

Fitzgerald will be inducted into the Cardinals’ Ring of Honor and see his No. 11 jersey retired at halftime of Arizona’s Week 7 matchup against Denver on Oct. 25.

“No one who has ever worn a Cardinals uniform is more deserving of this honor,” Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill said in a press release. “His excellence on the field was only surpassed by the way he represented our team and our community off of it.

“We are all grateful for the opportunity to recognize Larry in this way and for our fans to celebrate all he has meant to our franchise and the state of Arizona.”

Fitzgerald will become the sixth player in franchise history to see his number retired.

He’ll be the 20th member of the team’s Ring of Honor.

Fitzgerald is coming off a monumental week in Canton, Ohio, where he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

He is just the eighth first-ballot wide receiver to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

– Pat Tillman (40)
– Stan Maudin (77)
– J.V. Cain (88)
