TEMPE — Arizona Cardinals running back Jeremiyah Love continues to progress from his high ankle sprain, according to head coach Mike LaFleur.

“He was out there moving around today. I’ll have a better idea for all those (injured players) that I know you guys are going to ask about on Wednesday,” the head coach said Monday.

LaFleur added he “feels good” about the rookie running back when asked if he would play this week.

Love continues to trend in the right direction after suffering the injury in his lone preseason action against the Las Vegas Raiders.

The 2026 No. 3 overall pick has been held back in practice ever since, though he has been off to the side watching drills during the open portion of practice.

How much Love participates to start the week of practice on Wednesday will be something to watch.

If he can’t go this week against the Los Angeles Chargers, it’ll be Tyler Allgeier and Bam Knight leading the backfield.
