The mutual hatred between the Arizona Wildcats and the Arizona State Sun Devils cannot be overstated.
Going back to 1899, Arizona has a 52-47-1 record all time against Arizona State, most recently winning 23-7 in Tempe last season.
However, two seasons ago, Arizona State put a beatdown on Arizona, winning 49-7 in Tucson. It’s a game that still sits with Arizona quarterback Noah Fifita to this day.
"I hate that team. I hate that team up north with all my heart." — Arizona quarterback Noah Fifita, on ASU
Fifita said the 49-7 loss to ASU in Tucson in 2024 is “something that’ll live in my head forever.”

“I hate that team up north with all my heart,” Fifita told reporters. “It’s nothing they did to me, but I’ll never forget the feeling when they were winning 49-7 in Tucson, and our student section was taken over by those two colors chanting those three letters.”
In that game, Fifita passed for only 126 yards and one touchdown, while former ASU quarterback Sam Leavitt had 291 passing yards and three touchdowns.
Arizona has gotten off to a solid 5-1 start this season on the back of Fifita, who’s off to an impressive start himself, having 1,756 passing yards and 14 touchdowns.
Arizona State on the other hand is off to an underwhelming 3-2 start, with quarterback Cutter Boley passing for 1,229 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Fifita’s final game against ASU will take place on Nov. 28 at Casino Del Sol Stadium in Tucson.
“We have a lot of business to take care of before that point,” Fifita said. “But once that time comes, there’s no way I’m walking off that field with a loss to that team.”

Lay down Arizona. What a joke. Might lead your team to another Bowl game no one cares about. The team up north goes to the College Football Playoffs and Rose Bowls. Wins conference championships. "I still serve Galladoorn, remember? You serve no one. Just sit in your coffin and rot"
So far this season, Bear Down and young Mr. Fifita have much to brag about. It just seems a bit early to be trashing talking about the T-Cup game. Stay classy Noah - save it for late November.
AMEN NOAH!! BTFD!!!
