The Cowboys continue to come up as a potential trade destination for Cardinals linebacker Josh Sweat.

Arizona Cardinals edge rusher Josh Sweat is generating trade interest, and the Dallas Cowboys are a team to watch, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Sunday.
Ironically, the Cardinals are in Dallas to take on the Cowboys Sunday in a potential showcase of Sweat’s capabilities against a team that could use an increase in edge talent.
Sweat’s name has been in trade rumors for months, as the veteran reportedly wants a new contract. The 29-year-old is signed through 2028, although there is a potential out after this season.
Sweat set a career high with 12 sacks last year, but he entered Sunday with two sacks and four quarterback hits through his first seven games.
He racked up two sacks against the Cowboys when Arizona visited Dallas last season, and the Cowboys had to deal with Sweat as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles from 2018-24.
The Cardinals entered Sunday 2-5 with two games left before the trade deadline, as national media outlets have put Sweat, safety Budda Baker and even quarterback Jacoby Brissett on lists of players to watch in potential trades.
The Cowboys entered Sunday 3-4, trailing the 4-2-1 New York Giants for first place in the flawed NFC East.

If, indeed, Sweat is conducting an in-season "strike", it's regrettable. He should be traded.
