Arizona Cardinals sign Asa Jackson to future contract

The Arizona Cardinals announced the addition of cornerback Asa Jackson on a future contract for the 2016 season.

Jackson appeared in 18 games for the Baltimore Ravens over the past four seasons, including six starts. The 5-foot-10, 183-pound player set career highs in 2014 with 27 tackles and three passes defensed in seven games.

Jackson originally entered the NFL as a fifth-round pick in 2012 out of Cal Poly. He played in four games for the Ravens this past season before being released on Nov. 19. He signed with the Cincinnati Bengals’ practice squad on Nov. 30, which is where he spent the rest of the season.

On Tuesday, the Cardinals announced the signings of 11 players to future contracts, and then Wednesday revealed they had added Cariel Brooks on a similar deal.
