With the MLB All-Star teams almost complete, the Arizona Diamondbacks and Tampa Bay Rays are hoping a partnership between the two can help their third basemen make the final cut.

Although most of the players on the National League and American League teams have already been decided, the D-backs’ Jake Lamb and Rays’ Evan Longoria still have a chance to play in San Diego due to the All-Star Final Vote.

This allows the fans to choose the final AL and NL roster spots for the All-Star game. If chosen, Lamb would join teammate Paul Goldschmidt in San Diego for the game.

Since Lamb plays for the D-backs and Longoria is a Scottsdale resident, the two ballclubs saw an oppurtunity to maximize the number of votes they could receive by working together.

This has been a career season for Lamb, who is leading the D-backs in home runs, with 19, and RBI, with 59, while also batting a solid .292. Longoria is right behind Lamb with 18 home runs and 45 RBI, while batting .277.

Voting for Longoria or Lamb doesn’t just give them a chance at being an All-Star, but has perks for the voter as well.

Lamb voters have an opportunity to win a signed jersey and are entered into a sweepstakes to meet the 25 year-old.

Longoria voters who vote 25 times on the Rays website and select Tampa Bay as their favorite team will be entered to win four tickets and get to meet the third baseman before a home game.

To vote, fans can go to MLB.com/vote to cast their ballots. The last day to make a selection is July 8 and voters will be able to use Twitter during the final six hours using #VoteLamb or #VoteLongo to make their All-Star choice.
