Homecoming king gives up crown to nominee with cerebral palsy

Many high school students dream about getting named the homecoming king or queen. A freshly named homecoming king in Texas didn’t think twice about giving up the crown to someone he thought was more deserving.
Fossil Ridge quarterback Max Akin received the award at halftime of his team’s game , but quickly handed over the honor to the football team manager K.L. Norwood, who has cerebral palsy.
Akin told CNN that Norwood was the most positive guy around, and that he couldn’t think of accepting the award when Norwood was, in fact, one of the nominees and more deserving.
Some good karma was quickly in store as Fossil Ridge won the game 40-12.
