It’s probably safe to say Von Miller is enjoying life these days.

The 27-year-old Denver Broncos linebacker who is in the first season of a six-year, $114.5 million contract signed in July, leads the NFL with 12.5 sacks for the defending Super Bowl champions.

He is also, apparently, a wine connoisseur.

According to the Denver Post, Miller gave a bottle of wine to every player in the AFC West. By their math, it’s roughly 290 bottles.

He did it to thank them.

The wine is called “The Setting,” and it came with a note.

It is an honor and a privilege to take the field and compete with you twice a year. We are so fortunate to have this opportunity to fulfill our childhood dreams of playing in the NFL. The blood, sweat, aches and pains, and endless hours spent watching film are a testament to the love and dedication we have for this game. So take a moment, reflect on all your successes, and enjoy your accomplishment. Appreciate those who have helped you get this far, and start working towards your next childhood dream.

Thank you for helping to make our game great!

-Von Miller

Now in his sixth NFL season, Miller — who has established himself as one of the premier pass rushers in the sport — has clearly gained an appreciation not only for what he does, but for those who he does it against.

And for what it’s worth, the Broncos, at 7-4, are in third place in the division, behind the 9-2 Oakland Raiders and 8-3 Kansas City Chiefs.
