Arizona Cardinals running back Emari Demercado did not practice Friday and was ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans. After limited work Thursday, linebacker Jesse Luketa fully returned to practice on Friday and does not carry an injury designation.

Texans starting running back Dameon Pierce returned to practice and was limited but was officially ruled out for Sunday. Wide receiver Noah Brown remained sidelined and is questionable for Sunday’s contest.

Cardinals offensive linemen D.J. Humphries and Trystan Colon continued to be limited and are questionable for Sunday.

Arizona brought in another running back this week, claiming Michael Carter from the New York Jets. Carter did not participate in practice on Thursday but told reporters he would be ready to go Sunday in Houston.

Pierce (ankle) was nearly a 1,000-yard rusher as a rookie last year for Houston but has missed the past two games. Brown had a career day on Sunday with 172 receiving yards against the Cincinnati Bengals. Houston also missed safety Jimmie Ward at practice for the third straight day after he missed Week 10’s game.

Right tackle George Fant fully returned to practice after showing up as limited (hip) on yesterday’s injury report, and linebacker Denzel Perryman will not play on Sunday due to a suspension.

Houston wide receiver Nico Collins, tight end Brevin Jordan and tackle Fant were all full participants on Friday after limited reps on Thursday.
