Cardinals-Lions injury report: CB Robert Alford out with pectoral injury

The Arizona Cardinals enter the weekend with major names on the injury report heading into Sunday’s matchup against the Detroit Lions.

The team will not only lose receiver DeAndre Hopkins for at least the rest of the regular season due to a knee sprain but starting CB Robert Alford will miss Sunday’s game due to a pectoral injury.

In an upgrade from Thursday’s injury report, left guard Justin Pugh went from a non-participant to being limited on Friday. He has been recovering from a calf injury but on Thursday had an illness added on the injury report. He is questionable for Sunday.

Starting RB James Conner (ankle) was listed as a non-participant Wednesday and Thursday, but was limited on Friday. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said he was optimistic that Conner would be available.

All of the defensive linemen on the injury report, including Jordan Phillips (thumb) and Corey Peters (knee) were limited at practice on Friday but are all questionable to play. Tight end Zach Ertz is also questionable for Sunday’s matchup after showing up as a limited participant Friday with a hamstring issue.

Notably for the Lions, tight end T.J. Hockenson is done for the season with a thumb injury. He was taken off the injury report and placed on IR.
