Former Cardinal Weatherspoon finds game check while moving
You know that feeling when you find some money in your pocket while doing laundry? Sean Weatherspoon understands, albeit on a different level.
You know that feeling when you find some money in your pocket while doing laundry?
Whether it’s just a few bucks or more, the reaction is likely the same for all of us, and it is probably nothing short of:
Now, imagine that same feeling only as an NFL player, and instead of a few dollars you found an entire game check.
Former Cardinals linebacker Sean Weatherspoon, now a member of the Atlanta Falcons, apparently understands what it’s like.

Weatherspoon spent one season in Arizona, and for his efforts he was paid nearly $4 million. His base salary was $2.35 million, and when divided by 16 (games played), one check would be worth approximately $146,875.
Not exactly pocket change.
Asked how that could happen, Weatherspoon said on Twitter that the Cardinals gave him just one hard copy check all season, with the rest being paid via direct deposit.
So there you go.
